The never ending rain of 2018 finally ended, but it slowed down the growing season at the plant nurseries… We’ve finally got in some purple verbena, black-foot daisies, and a lot of petunias…

If you ever notice, a lot of the vegetation at Avalon is edible.. We’ve got garlic, onions, asparagus, thyme, oregano, basil, yarrow, etc…  and i have friends i grow peppers for. They’re hidden and impossible to find, but are some of the worlds hottest peppers…  Ghost, Trinidad scorpions, Carolina Reapers, etc…. Not for the faint of heart, but we take them and give them to a few pepper head friends who love hot…  We also grind up the dried peppers and sprinkle it in the flowerbeds to keep out the armadillos….   They love to dig holes…

Bluebonnets are springing up everywhere…. and the roses will be exploding in a day or two..

Come see why we’re the most beautiful wedding venue in college station, texas. Or Texas, for that matter…
